The department of ENT was established in the year 2009. The founding Professor & HOD was Dr. Shamsuddin, MS. At present, the department comprises 30 beds with one unit. Out of 30 beds, 15 beds are marked for male and 15 for female patients. There are well-equipped OPD and OT areas. All routine ENT surgeries are done, including FESS, EES, MLS, thyroid surgeries, and head & neck onco-surgeries. The department also runs special clinics, i.e., Vertigo clinic, Tumour clinic, Speech therapy clinic, and Deafness clinic. The diagnostic services provided by the department are Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry, BERA, Oto-Acoustic Emission testing, Neonatal screening for deafness, Speech assessment, Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy, Rigid laryngoscopy, and esophagoscopy.

The department, since its inception, has been providing services to patients along with UG and PG teaching. PG training was started in the year 2019 with an annual intake of 3 MS students. We have a well-equipped Temporal Bone Dissection Laboratory for PG teaching.

A regional-level ENT conference (NEBAOICON) was successfully conducted by the ENT department, JMCH, in the year 2016.
