The Department of Cardiology, Jorhat Medical College, Jorhat is functioning  with  one faculty member since inception .The Department is progressing with time . Now the Post Graduate students of  Medicine are posted in Cardiology Department on rotation  and they are being trained to manage Cardiac Patient. Diploma in Cardiac Care Technology (DCCT) course is also running under Cardiology Department in collaboration with Medicine Department. Cardiac Cathlab  established in March, 2019.  Pacemakers Implantation started  at Cardiac  Cathlab since April, 2019. Now both Temporary and Permanent Pacemaker  Implantations are done on regular basis.Cardiology OPD  is running twice in a week. Cardiac Patients are admitted in Medicine Department. Other professional services provided by Cardiology Department are ECG, 24 Hours Holter Monitoring & 2D Echocardiography
